The Milan Men's Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2016-2017 has ended. Looking at most of the shows we could safely say that on average approximately 15 percent of the models that appeared on the shows are non-Caucasians. Unfortunately, some of the shows only hired Caucasian models.
I don't know why the only reason designers and fashion houses will have more of a diverse casting is when the theme of their collection is about Asian or African culture. So I guess this is better than nothing. But it's 2016 and we have been talking about this issue for a long time now. It's time to move this issue forward.
